AYAZ KHOKHAR, CEO and Head of Development 

Ayaz is responsible for managing the strategy and overall business and project development of the Source3 X’s Portfolio.

Ayaz has established over decades partner and client relationship with leading energy and power generation companies, upstream and midstream oil and gas firms, developers, IPPs, utilities, mining companies. He possesses 25+ years of international global business and project origination, development, financing and M&A experience of over $8 billion of projects in value.

Previously, Ayaz held progressively challenging management roles at Lucent Technologies in US, Europe and APAC. He also held the position of Country Business Manager for Lucent Canada where he was responsible for managing Lucent Canada’s Operations with an annual budget of $117MM and a turnover of $1.1B. Prior to 2000, Ayaz held various technical and management positions at engineering and consulting firms in the US.

Ayaz holds two undergraduate degrees, in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management.

PETER SCHIMMANN, Head of Legal and Finance

Peter is responsible for managing the legal and financial matters of the project in particular in relation with investors, financial institutes, strategic partners and offtakers.

Peter worked for 20 years at attorney-at law in major law international law firms in Germany, Italy, the UK and Japan, in cross-border corporate, commercial and major project transactions. Since 2007, he was partner at the Tokyo and the Frankfurt office of Baker McKenzie. Since 2011, his principal focus of work has been the legal and financial structuring of energy transactions globally (wind, solar, biomass, natural gas, coal). He joined Source3 Energy Inc. in 2014.

Peter is educated in law and business administration. He holds a German law degree and an M.B.A. from Ecole des Ponts Business School, Paris, France. He was trained in Japanese language and business through the EU Executive Training Program in Japan. In addition to German and English, Peter is fluent in Spanish, Italian and French and speaks and reads Japanese.
